Props to NOVA Hearing too for having a wide selection of hearing aids and a payment plan that best suited my financial situation (my insurance didn’t offer much). I ended up going with the Oticon miniRITE R in the pink color and it’s the cutest thing. It’s barely noticeable (even with my black hair), yet it compliments my skin tone and hair so well. I feel so proud and stylish wearing it, on top of it enhancing my hearing. It’s only been a couple of days, but I feel so much better in so many ways. My 45 day trial for my Hear.com, Mini XI, in ear, hearing aids was over yesterday and I had an appointment at Nova for review and any adjustments. I thought they were perfect, but as I reviewed a few things with Danielle, she went to work and fine tuned them to even a better level. This is why you don’t order aids without having a nearby Audiologist. I LOVE THESE AIDS. I have worn over the ear aids for over 15 years and these are so much more comfortable, they let me hear clearer, and don’t make noises rubbing the hair on your head. And last night we had dinner with friends at a noisy restaurant. It was so easy to hear conversations across the table, even with the loud noise coming from adults, children and staff. Yes, it would be nice if these had Bluetooth to let you use your smartphone to talk and your aids to listen, but there just isn’t enough room in your ear canal to fit it all…yet. Look them up on the Internet at Hear.com and if you live within a reasonable distance from Murfreesboro, be sure and contact them. Tell them Russell sent you.

I took my 90-year-old adopted mom to Nova after several attempts over the years with hearing aids, amplifiers, and other hearing assistance devices. Nothing worked. She would complain of them not fitting properly, hearing squealing/chirping/other distractions, falling out of her ears. She finally gave up and for the last few years, missed out on many family conversations and in essence, life itself! It broke my heart. We decided to try, once again, a few months ago. After calling her Insurance to learn about her current coverage and places who accepted her Medicare coverage, I chose NOVA HEARING, in Murfreesboro, TN. At her initial appointment, Brooke (Office Manager) and Daniella (Audiologist) were amazing and I just sensed, given Momma’s history THIS time was going to be different! The thing that Daniella did, that none of the others had, was REALLY listened to Momma’s complaints with everything we tried. She examined her ear canals, and seeing how narrow her canals were, she suggested making a “mold” of her ear canals just to get a more defined look inside. When, after about 5 minutes of the molds hardening inside, she removed them and declared how tiny Momma’s ear canals were. She explained that Momma’s ear canals being so narrow, she believed were the cause of other aids not working, as they should, as they were not fitting down into her canals tightly, which was allowing outside noice to get in causing the chirping, etc.It would also be why they’d fall out. It all made sense, after seeing the mold of Momma’s ear canal. Daniella explained that they can make her hearing aids, to “custom fit” her narrow canal using these molds . (That cost was only an extra $100 on top of her “out of pocket costs!! Well, we’re 3 appointments down now (initial, actual fitting when her hearing aids came in, and one 2-week follow-up to make any adjustments to the settings and I cannot praise NOVA HEARING enough, for the difference this has made not only in Momma’s life, but in all our lives, too, as she is now an engaged part of all our lives again!! I know that THIS TIME was different because Daniella took the time to listened to WHAT had NOT worked in the past, examined and found the reason WHY the others failed and sought and found a solution to HOW to make the NOVA HEARING aids work for Momma and bring her back to her family’s conversations so she can hear all of us and we can be blessed again with her wisdom, humor, advice and joy for as long as we have her with us! Thank you, Brooke, for always being that bright light of hope & love, when we enter your office. Daniella, thank you so much for going that extra mile no one else had ever gone with us and giving Momma back her hearing and ability to participate in all our lives again! That extra mile made ALL the difference for all of us! I just wish we had found you & NOVA sooner! Thank you NOVA HEARING! You all have truly made a difference in the Sadler family!! I hope many others who have not yet found Hearing Aid specialists willing to listen, investigate & find a solution, will find their way to you & NOVA! BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL AT NOVA HEARING!
